نقد روانشناختی شخصیت در داستان¬های شاهنامه فردوسی

Abstract
"Character" has been a permanent and significant element in both old and new fiction and forms the foundation of the literary works. Suffice it to say that no action would happen without a character. Characters, in stories, are processed either directly or indirectly. In this vein, Shahnameh, written by Ferdowsi, can be considered a fictional work where "character" is dealt with with as much precision and scrutiny as the other elements of fiction. Characterization is, therefore, an instrument with which the characteristics, temperament, thoughts, and other features of a character are clarified. The descriptions and imageries, created by Ferdowsi, of the characters in Shahnameh are in such a way that one can find his psychological character through comparing them with the theories of personality psychology. In many stories of Shahnameh, the main characters enter the stories as they are created, and are involved till the end. In fact, Shahnameh is the ground for the creation, growth, and fruition of the characters. All the characters, including the world champion, the shoemaker, the villager, and the ironsmith, are active. All are involved. That is, they play their roles as they enter Ferdowsi's narratives.
