Pictures of the Rhetorical Recital in the Diwan of Isa Alabi Abu Bakar Al-Ilouri: an analytical and rhetorical study
Abstract
This article discusses some rhetorical aspects in the
anthology of a renowned Nigerian Arabic poet known as Isa Alabi
Abubakar. It begins with an introduction to the poet and the factors
that produced him. Some light is thrown on the background to the
science of rhetoric. Eleven examples representing its aspects
have been studied. The aim of study is to bring to generality the
use of rhetoric by one of the Nigerian contemporary poets. Our
findings show that the basic of using rhetoric is to beautify the
writing both in words and meaning.
