An Analytical Study Urdu Translations of Naguib Mahfooz’s Novels
Abstract
Naguinb Mahfouz is very known writer of Egypt. He is first
Arabian writer who got Noble Prize. He wrote near about
forty Novels and many more short stories in Arabic. In this
reward he got many National and International awards. These
Novels and short stories are being translated in many
Languages of World. In his writings Naguib Mahfouz
presented old Egyptian culture. Egyptian culture is oldest
culture of World but time by time many changings occurred in
this culture. Naguib Mahfouz presented both Egyptian
cultures in his writings. in context of Egyptian Culture,
Naguib Mahfouz presented Global Issues. Naguib Mahfouz's
Novels are also translated in Urdu Language like other
Languages of world. Three of Urdu Translators Nayer Abbas
Zaidi, Fahmida Riyaz and Syed All ud Din introduced Naguib
Mahfouz's Novels in Urdu. Aim of this study is to analyze
these Novels in Global context.
