Reflection of the Social Problems of Women in Urdu Drama’s of PTV
Abstract
Society is composed of social interactions and social shadings.
Defining society is a difficult thing, but today, the Sociology
is referred as the mother of all sciences. In the social
perspective, if we study the social status of woman, she meets
the very discrimination in this man-dominant society. Most of
the families treat woman in very cruel way and we find a
clear-cut discrimination. In most of the areas in Pakistan, most
of the women not only work at houses but they also work in
the fields which has made their job very highly injurious.
Although, this society cannot exist without woman, yet their
social status is very low and she is victim to very critical
imbalance in her rights. This study reveals what reflection has
been realized in the Long Drama Serials of PTV. It aims to
scratch the mentioned roles of women and their difficult lives
on the other hand. Woman is often victimized in domestic
violence, her rights are mostly denied in our Pakistani society .
Urdu Literature has been in rising slogans for the liberty of
woman from the peters of injustice and cruelty. Beside
victimization and violence, her sexual abuses and harassments
are at peak in this cruel society.
