Munir Niazi's Verse And Existentialism
Abstract
Munir Niazi is one of the leading modern Urdu poets. He
is prominent among his contemporaries. His individuality
pivots on his keen interest and observation of issues
related to modern age. He is not a follower of the trends set
by others rather he crushes them to tread his own way. He
does not compromise his individuality as well as his liberty
which can visibly be traced in his verse. Since he has
comprehensive understanding of issues, confusions and
complexes faced by modern man, he has addressed them in
a befitting way. Munir Niazi's poetic views are influenced
with different shades of existentialism. The article tries to
relate Munir's views expressed in his poetry with
existentialism.
