Abstract
Saifur Rahman Saleem is one of the renowned modern romantic Poet of
Pashto. His poetry is multidimensional and has diversity of subjects.
Licentious is the main subject of throughout the world poetry. The wine
and statements of wine as a symbol is the main focus of the poetry of
Saifur Rahman Saleem which describe the different aspect of the society
and specially Pashtoon Nation. This paper is to point out the aspect of
Licentious in the poetry of Saifur Rahman Saleem in light of the classical
poetry of Pashto and prove that he is a romantic modern poet and has
licentious colours in his poetry like those in Persian and Urdu poetry.
