Abstract
Shah Abdul Latif Bhattai (RA) laid great emphasis on the value of humanity in his versatile poetry. Shah taught the actual essence of reality around humanity. He stressed that one should not be ego-centric and should be content with one’s ego through spirituality and mysticism. “Sur Sasui Abri” from Shah Jo Risalo illustrates Wahdat-ul-Wajood, the oneness of Allah and his presence in all human beings. Shah sahib teaches this particular concept through Sufism. “Sur Sasui Abri” teaches that Allah is omni-present, the one who created the world and everything belongs to him. In oneness (Wahdat-ulWajood), one ought to be as crystal clear and pure as the reflection of God. The righteous one is always in search of truth and he is least bothered and interested in the worldly life and its affairs. It is imperative then to lose one’s ego in order to reach such levels. This implies that she (Sasui) completely killed her ego and found what she was looking for.
