Abstract
Nazeer Ahmad Siddiqui is a well known poet and prose writer.He
wrote features and persuasive essays as well.Critism was the basic
shade of his writing.He was very skilled in urdu prose."Shorhrat ki
Khatir" is a collection of his satirical pursuasive essays.Although
satire is a diminant element in this book but humor makes his style
pleasent and persuasive.He has presented his phiolosopical
thoughts in simpe words.His pessimistic views about life creats
creatscrusive satire in "Shohart ki Khatir".Actually Nazeer Siddiqui
highlightes the drawbacks of human nature throuhg his satirical
style of writing.He is a keen observer of human nature ,that's why
his essays reflect his philosopical thoughts of life.In this context his
collection of essays "Shohrat ki Katir "lighted the style of Nazeer
Siddiqui as a social reformer.His sensitivity to the major issues of
life is remarkable.This article will highlight his ironic and satirical
style of writing in "Shohrt ki Khatir".
