Abstract
"Imagery is a unique poetic style that is not only adopted by the
European poets but it is also remained in the tradition of Persian
and Urdu Ghazal.
Modern Urdu poets create very fine images in their Ghazals. Nasir
Kazmi, Munir Niazi, Zafar Iqbal, Sarwat Hussain and many other
poets took interest in imagism. Their images have a cultural
background and metaphorical meanings. These images are also
very rich because of the mythological context."
