Abstract
This article consists of technical and analytical review of the novel ‘Akhari Chattan’ (The Last Rock) by (a prominent novelist) Naseem Hijazi, of Urdu literature (published in 1946). Most of the historical incidents of novel are related to Chengiz Khan, Ala-ud-Din Khwarzem Shah, Jalal-ud-Din Khwarzem Shah, Shamsuddin Shams, Caliph Al-Nasir, Caliph Az-Zahir, Al-Mutasim Billah and Salahuddin Ayubi. Apart from historical characters, some of the creative characters are also included in the novel. On one hand, victories in the Middle East are justified; on the other hand, the silky flags started flapping from Spain’s borders to France. Aslo the flagship of Islamic victories began to rise in Indian fields. Just after six hundred years, a gale blew out these victories as they never appeared. The storm which started from the desert of Gobi under the leadership of Chengiz Khan brought a destructive message to the civilized and developed communities. Dialogues of the novel are great. Along with the historical events, the romantic events are also described. This combined description of historical and romantic events provides interest to the reader. The narration and description of events and language of the novel are attractive
