This
is a comprehensive study of the ethical values found in the poetry
of Al Imam Al-Shaf'ee (Rahi'mahu Allah). He had a great
contribution towards the grammatical and principled Arabic poetry.
It has been observed that his poetry is rich with ethical values.
He gained reputation as a Muslim jurist and a great man of
wisdom simultaneously. He is the writer of many books on Islamic
jurisprudence and a famous book of poetry "Deewan e Shaf'ee".
Moreover, his books contain ethical values in a couplet mood. All
of these discussed values he had abstracted truly and retrieved
from the Holy Qur’an and Hadiths.The article presents a special study regarding his valuable
topics of ethics
