The Prophetic praise of Pakistani poets in Arabic

Praise is an important aspect of Arabic poetry. It has been
composed widely by the Arab poets, since Arabic poetry was
known for its well-known images, in which the poets competed
and were distinguished, and it was also an important source of
their income.
Arabic poets have had different opinions regarding the art
of praise in the past and present. Some like it because it affects
the lives of Arabs publishing their virtues and aesthetics, and ends
the imperfections while some others criticize it because it is for the
monarchs and aristocracy and does not pay attention to the
general public, and because of dishonesty in the description ofsome object, falsehood in the work, and giving the people the
virtues they don’t deserve.
The prophet’s praise, in which the prophet (PBUH) is
praised, is one of the famous arts of Arabic poetry. It’s an
expression of religious emotions and an example of rich literature;
as it is said by the hearts full of honesty and sincerity. It does not
only praise the prophet but also intends to approach Allah, and
spreads the message of Islam. In fact, most of the prophet’s
praise was said after his death. The poetry composed after one’s
death is called elegy, but for the prophet (PBUH) it is called
praise; as if the poets were observing the prophet (PBUH) alive
and were addressing him.
