This study aims to discuss the concept of Qasidah AlBurdah and its literary study. The objective of this study is to give a general idea about Imam Busayri and Qasidah Al-Burdah with a statement of its value in Arabic poetry. The study resulted that, the Qasidah Al-Burdah is one of the greatest poems written in praise of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The poet himself says that he wrote this poem after he was attacked by paralysis. He then sought Allah's mercy at the intercession of the poem. He recited it time and again, prayed and asked for the intercession of the Prophet (PBUH). After that he saw in his dream the Prophet (PBUH) who touched and swabbed his face with his blessed hands and wrapped him in a mantle after which the poet recovered from paralysis. The thought of poem is derived from the poet's knowledge about the Prophet, his culture and Arabic and Islamic environment, along with some traditional concepts such as; Al-Ghazal and skill of eloquence. We find in this Qasidah the concept of the Islamic preaching and it purity, supreme respect for the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), his Biography and most beautiful character. Busayri begins his Qasidah following norms classical Arabic poetry and warning himself about following Nafs and its desires before moving on to talk about the ethics of the Prophet and praising his qualities (PBUH). Then he praises the qualities of the Prophet and his congenital merits and sings of the birth of the Prophet and his miracles. He also describes the guidance of the Quran, and the Prophet's jihad. Then he pleads to the Prophet and seeks intercession from him. He concludes the Qasidah with a supplication and humble submission, presentation of needs, the recitation of Durood on the Prophet (PBUH) and the prayer for the Satisfaction of the four Caliphs, Ahle Bait, the Companions, AlTabein and the Pious. All this stylistic beauty indicates that the Qasida Al-Burdah is one of the highest poems in the Arabic poetry according to the views of most scholars and literary figures. But some defendants accused Busayri of hyperbole in his praise of the Prophet (PBUH) in his Qasida.
