"Tafsir Zia-ul-Quran" by Pir Karam Shah has a distinguished place in Urdu prose. It has clarity and rational argumentation. It is based on fascinating expression alongwith favourable conception. It impresses mind and heart by its pure and fluent Urdu. Besides plainness it contains delicacy of expression. It conveys point under consideration by brevity. It is characterised by sympathy with sorrowful which is sign of red literature. It has adopted a unique style by presenting examples from Urdu, Persian and Arabic poetry for explaining Quranic verses. Arabic idioms have also been stated. Intellectual argument, fine expression and decency are maintained in dealing with issues of controversy. It has acquired a distinct place in religious literature of Urdu by rendering service to humanity, haracter-building, eradication of false ideas and assisting in defining real aim of life.
