adolescents in Pakistan. The sample constituted 100 adolescents
with equal number from each gender with the mean age of 15
years. Father Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ;
Rohner, 2004), Personality Assessment Questionnaire (PAQ;
Rohner, 2004), Centre for Epidemiologic Studies Depression
Scale (CESD; Radloff, 1977) and Teacher’s Evaluation of Student
Conduct (TESC; Rohner, 2004) were used for assessment. Results
revealed significant negative relationship of paternal warmth with
adolescent hostility, dependency, negative self-esteem, negative
world-view and depressive symptoms. Father’s hostility and
rejection had significant positive relationship with hostility,
depression and conduct problems in adolescents. Father
involvement had negative relationship with adolescent hostility,
dependency, negative self esteem, negative self adequacy,
emotional unresponsiveness, negative world view and depression
in adolescents. Father rejection, adolescent dependency and
emotional instability emerged as significant predictors of
depression in adolescents. Father’s hostility and lack of
involvement emerged as significant predictors of conduct
problems in adolescents. Results also demonstrated significant
gender differences regarding paternal perception being rejecting
or accepting, personality dispositions, depression and conduct
