This article presents a critical study of the definition of “Harassment”in “The Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2010”. The study proves that the definition of sexual harassment in the said law is not correct from Islamic point of view. According to Islam the legitimacy of a gender relationship depends not only on mutual consent, but also on certain moral limits. In order to prevent harassment, it is necessary to make the interaction of genders bound by Islamic principles and etiquette.Modesty is the basis of the Islamic code of conduct, which must be kept in mind in the process of such legislation.
