حرکات و اثرات ENGLISH LANGUAGE AS A MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IN PAKISTAN AND ITS EFFECTS Abstract: Medium of instruction has been an issues since the beginning of Pakistan. Education Should have been the medium to educate people as per saying the Quaid-e-Azam and as well as the basis of "Two Nation Theory". It was the bad luck of our Nation that English language was given preference on our national language. It was a directly reason of the downfall of on national language. It is understood that English is a global language but one should know that it does not match with our culture values. The biggest problem is that it is a secondary language and being not the native speaker of this language a lot of time is wasted in translation. One question is arises that why this language has become that much important than Urdu language has become the source of given education to our young birds. There are several theories which tell us that the basic education should be in native language. This has also divided our nation into two different parts. One English medium and the other hand is Urdu medium and both groups of people are disconnected from each other. Through this, our society has become imbalance. If we sum up our discussion, we can easily say that English has badly spoiled the teaching and learning process of education of our society.
