October revolution started in Russia in 1917. It has deep influences on central Asia and South Asia. Similarly it
greatly influenced the social life and thinking of the people of Afghanistan. In Afghanistan the actual founder of
this revolution is Noor Muhammad Tarakai. Formally this revolution started in Afghanistan on 27 October 1978.
Noor Muhammad Tarakai devoted his life to this revolution. That is why we can see the impacts of this
revolution on his literary works and especially on his short stories. In this paper short stories of Noor
Muhammad Tarakai. It will be discussed with special reference to the revolutionary themes.
