This paper is an effort to highlight the educational services of the British Indian Muslim teachers to Afghanistan (1880sD1920s). It traces the influence of the British Indian Muslims during the rule of Amir Abdur Rehman until Amir Amanullah Khan. It also underlines the contributions of these teachers in leading the first Constitutional Movement which, later on, resulted in the first constitution of the Afghanistan in 1923. These Muslim teachers were hired by Amir Habibullah Khan in 1903. The paper, reflects the historical epoch in Afghan history, with selfless Indian Muslims services to Afghan nation, in the field of modern education. Such as, Maulana Najaf Ali, Chiragh ud Din, Dr. Abdul Ghani, Muzafar Khan Marwat and Muhammad Hussain. Some of these Indian Muslim teachers taught with missionary zeal on meager remuneration for years to build a modern Afghanistan, a service considered both, for Islam and brethren. The conclusion drawn in this paper is based on findings that the British Indian Muslim teachers played a significant role in the development of constitutionalism and promotion of modern education in Afghanistan. The methodology of the paper is historical, descriptive and analytical.
