A survey of twenty nine randomly selected mango orchards of Southern Punjab was conducted during 1994-95, to assess the nutrients status of these orchards. Soil samples were taken from 0-15 and 15-30 cm depths under the canopy of tree. Leaf samples were collected from corresponding trees from latest nature flush of growth from middle of terminal growth during peak period of flowering. Most of soils have low P status, 31% were deficient in zinc, and 27% have low organic matter contents. Soils were not found deficient in potassium, copper, iron and manganese. The dominant textural class of the surveyed area was clay loam. Leaf analyses showed 47% deficiency of zinc, 8% of copper, 13% of manganese and 11% of phosphorus in mango orchards of Southern Punjab
