Salinity u a crucial problem in irrigated areas of Pakistan and the ability of crop itself to cope with salinity is becoming important to manage saline areas. Considering the importance of wheat, the effects of salinity on yield components and yield of wheat was determined in a Hydroponics study at Fatsalabad during 1992-93. Three salinity levels i.e. 50, 100, 150 mM NaCl beside control were imposed on seven wheat varieties at one shoot stage. The varieties used were SNH-9, WH-I57, Sakha -ft, Yecora, LV-26S, Kharchia-65 and KRl^l-4. Salt stress significantly affected yield components and yield of the wheat varieties. As the salinity increased number of fertile tillers plant', number of spikelets spike', 100-gram weight and grain yield significantly decreased in all the varieties. However, V/H-157 and Yecora gave maximum and minimum grain yield at highest salinity levels, respective
