تلخیص
The study focuses to see the perceptions of HODs, teachers, district Monitoring Officers, data collection monitoring assistants about the practical role of Independent Monitoring Unit IMU for improving Secondary School level education. This is a quantitative natured study and the quantitative data were collected from the stakeholders. The data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. It was found out that IMU performs a significant role in streamlining the education at Secondary level particularly in enhancement of students' enrollment and in the encouragement of heads of school in this regard. The unit is not giving due importance to control the drop out ofstudents
