'Doho' is a form of poetry to express inner feelings and emotions. It has a limited pattern which allows very little margin to innovate and include complicated thoughts and philosophical ideas. Looking at the developing phase of Doho we know that right from its earlier period to the classical age its subjects have been religious, romantic, peaceful, reformative and spiritual. Shaikh Ayaz has not only tried to innovate its pattern but also widened its aesthetic and subjective canvas. No doubt, Ayaz's Doho has made people both sad and satisfied. Basically, Doho is the by-product of colorful and juicy aspect of Hindi language. Its diction has been natural; its accent has been soft and it has always been refreshing and rhythmic. These qualities are also found in Ayaz's Dohas. Ayaz, in his Dohas, has used similes and metaphors according to his own atmosphere and temperament that is why it is rich in natural beauty and enticing music. Ayaz's Doho is balanced in terms of thought and art. It represents sublime harmony of notions and symphony of sounds. His Doho is a unique example of spontaneity of thought and polished skill. His subjects in Dohas are multidimensional, including romance, nature, spirituality, history, philosophy, psychology, aesthetics, resistance, revolution, patriotism, pain, pleasure, gloom, love, hope, humanitarianism, progress, awareness and peace etc. In this article, Ayaz's `Dohas` have been studied focusing on his innovative qualities and subjective range
