This analytical study delves into the realm of rhetorical antithesis (al-Ṭibāq al-Balāghī) and its categories, as illuminated by the Quranic text. Rhetorical antithesis, a prominent stylistic device in Arabic rhetoric (Balāghāh), involves the juxtaposition of contrasting elements to create a striking effect and enhance the expressive power of language. The Quran, known for its unparalleled eloquence, provides a rich corpus for exploring the various manifestations and functions of this rhetorical technique. The research aims to categorize the different types of antithesis employed in the Quran, examining their structural patterns, thematic roles, and impact on the overall message. By analyzing selected verses, the study highlights how antithesis serves not only as a decorative element but also as a tool for emphasizing contrasts, reinforcing arguments, and facilitating a deeper understanding of the divine discourse. The findings reveal that antithesis in the Quran transcends mere linguistic ornamentation, playing a crucial role in argumentation, thematic development, and the conveyance of theological and ethical principles. The study underscores the significance of understanding rhetorical techniques in appreciating the linguistic beauty and persuasive power of the Quranic text. This exploration contributes to the field of Quranic studies and Arabic rhetoric by providing insights into the intricate interplay between form and meaning in the Quran, showcasing the text's rhetorical sophistication and its enduring impact on literary and theological discourse.
