Allama Muhammad lqbal is a great poet of both Persian and Urdu
Languages. His Persian Manaqib dearly reflect the love for Prophet’s progeny and
Imams that Jqbal had in his heart and he also beautifully portrayed some of the
significant historical events. Iqbal’s Manaqib act as potential medium to convey the
message of Karbala to the minds of masses. Hence, his Manaqib. in addition to
reflecting values of a civilization also appears to teach the lesson about defeating
tyranny and oppression through the perfection of patience and courage
