Traditional mystical concept of Wehdat-ul-Wajood was completely against Iqbal's concept of "Khudi" or individuality, therefore Iqbal termed this concept of mysticism Non-Islamic and Non-Arab and instead of this he promoted the concept of "Khudi" where as traditional mystical concept renders the self as the main obstacle in the way of God's realization. Iqbal's profound knowledge and study of mysticism disallows us to ignore his ideological tendencies. Few of Iqbal's concepts about Islamic mysticism have been deeply elaborated in the preface to the "Asrar-e-Khudi". These ideas of Iqbal clearly portray his profound research on Quran. in the light of his letters.
