“Tehzeeb ul Akhlaq” played a vital role in promoting the
new literary and cultural values. Sir Syed Ahmed khan
started this magazine to educate his nation. “Tehzeeb ul
Akhlaq” is not only a magazine but a code of social life like
spectator and Tattler. It proved to uplift the nation socially
and morally. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and his team wrote
important articles about civilization, culture and literature
in this magazine. It is fact that “Teheez ul Akhlaq” was
manifesto of Aligarh movement. In this article an effort is
made to highlight the contribution to “Tehzeeb ul Akhlaq”
to introduce the new trends in literature and social life.
