Newspapers area source of making masses aware of the current
affairs and to provide them entertainment. In addition, they are the
source of knowledge of almost every field of sciences. However, it
is found that the Urdu newspapers are not using standard Urdu
orthography. At official level, the seminars are conducted to
disseminate the uniformity of Urdu orthography. The
recommendations, then, are published to mitigate the differences of
Urdu orthography. Still, we find that the standard of Urdu
orthography of Urdu newspapers is declining.
The readership of the newspapers comes from every walk of life,
including students and children. Wrong orthography of the
newspapers affect their spellings.
Our present research paper will study the mistaken orthography of
the three major Urdu newspapers of Pakistan
