Allama Iqbal is considered as one of the greatest poets of twentieth century. He
is a poet, philosopher as well as a political leader. He has played an eminent
role ¡n making Indian Muslims aware of the importance of freedom. His poetry
has been translated in different languages of the world. He presented his
thought ¡n different genres of poetry. He is also one of the best ghazal poets of
Urdu. This article presents his thought and art of his urdu Ghazals.
