Urdu orthography has been a controversial and burning issue since long.
Although, scholars have endeavored to fix the problems through introduction of
new rules yet still this problem needs more concentration of the linguists to root
out. This article discusses the role and services rendered by National Language
Authority Islamabad and Indian Board of Promotion of Urdu Language with the
underpinning by critical analysis to find the concrete solutions of the existing
problems.
