Allama Muhammad Iqbal had a great literary and philosophical impact of Mavelana Rumi on his poetry. His Mathnavi " Javed nameh" is an important example of this influence of Rumi's "Mathnavi Ma'anavi".The concept of perfect man and his attributes is the main object of both mathnavies. In these Mathnavies, to reach at this higher stage of mankind; Peer e Rumi and Murid e Hindi, both represent the same Concept of God. All other topics of Iqbal's poetry related to this Concept like; Love and Beauty, Wisdom and ecstasy, desires and hopes, patience and obedience, trust and beliefs, certainty and eternal actions, freedom and immortality, became lost in reality and became eternal with reality, all have influence of Rumi. To know the Ultimate Truth and to find out the attributes of Ultimate Beauty is main purpose of both visionaries. Appose to the ritual mysticism, rather than 'lost in God' both, Rumi and Iqbal are in favour of 'eternity'. Iqbal doesn't like that kind of Sufi who sit in a cave, left every relation of this dunya to purify himself and call it Allah's Love. As Rumi, Iqbal's perfect man is no doubt a God intoxicated man, a God's Lover, but also he lives among people for the sake of Allah, perform every relation of this world. He is a struggler, a soldier of Allah and the man of deed too. Love of Qur'an and the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w. is the direct source of Iqbal and Rumi's Mathnavies. This is the basic reason of the resemblance in both's vision.
