تلخیص
This paper aims at studying the deal of the Algerian
critical discourse represented in a set of its models with the
Algerian novel written in Arabic, in terms of origin and creation,
form and classification. This study doesn’t pretend to provide a
deep research that could monitor the designe of the Algerian
novel writing in the light of all critical studies involved in this issue.
We have noted that there are great differences among
critics especially about the question of leadership in the critical
precatice. We have pointed out mainly the attempts of such critics
at distinguishing between the novel, story and short story.
However, concerning classification, we have focused on the first
two attempts of Muhammad Musayef and the second one of
Wassini Laaradj, comparing their issues with other critics’ issues,
without claiming right in dealing with them
