Strengthening Standard Arabic Language through
Arabization and Translation of Knowledge
I'm grateful to Allah for making the Muslim ummah the best
ummah that is prepared for the guidance of world and making
Arabic language the language of Quran and the language of the
people of Paradise, and enabling Arabic language to live as a
modern language through which the Muslims all over the world
communicate.
But, the understanding history and the living reality make
us believe that the leadership of humanity, in the material aspects
of life, has been transferred in the present era to the non-Muslims
where languages other than Arabic are the only source of gaining
and preserving modern sciences, though it does not make us
doubt the ability of Arabic language in comprehending modern
sciences.
This reality leads us to take interest in making Arabic language the
language of science and research in the Arab world. This may be
done by expanding translation activities and by transferring most
of the books published in living languages into Arabic language
and enabling the Muslim youth to absorb what is being published
in living languages all over the world, and this is only possible
through translation.
Translation is one of the most important human tributaries
through which research, studies, discoveries and inventions can
be transferred from one nation to another nation, from one culture
to another culture and from one language to another language.
The great progress in the fields of science, medicine,
technology and media increases the importance of translation.
