Seyed Murtadha Amoli who has passed away recently was born at Jabl
Amil in Lebanon. He was a distinguished biographer and researcher of the
21st century. He was famous for his unique style of biography. He wrote a
35 volume book on the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), entitled as Al-Sahi
Min Sirat al-Nabi al-A’azam. He also wrote many other books on the sirat.
Drawing on his research and arguments, he claims that there are many
unauthentic traditions in the existing literature on Islamic history and sirat.
He has relied only on authentic traditions in his works. Some of his works
have been introduced in this article, including Al-Sahi Min Sirat al-Nabi alA’azam
