Dr. Anwar Ahmad as a Short Story Writer
Abstract
Anwar Ahmad is not only the critic of Urdu short story writing but
also a unique and great short story writer. In the stories of
'AkhariKhat', new topics and a new though are evident. His style is
also unique. His style is perfectly in accordance with his themes.
Every idea, every emotion and every thought finds its true expression
and narration. His characters are also a perfect match for their
peculiar regions, language and mentality. These stories reflect
contemporary civilization and society. These stories impart versatile
themes, new technique and style. His stories show that the has a very
strong relation with the tradition as as well as modern trends.
Through these stories, he has come out to be a unique artist is short
story writing.
