Abstract
Maulana Zafar Ali Khan is one of the most respected names in Urdu literature and Urdu journalism. He exposed Urdu journalism to new heights.Zafar Ali Khan's literary career began in Hyderabad during the Deccan era. His first journal “Afsana" was the publication of a fictionalized translation of Western fiction. Zafar Ali Khan released another magazine "Deccan review” for his scholarly writings Zafar Ali Khan takes over as editor of his newspaper "Zamindar" after the death of his father Maulvi Sirajuddin Ahmed. The “Zmeendar" who was just the voice of the landlords has now become the voice of the whole Indian and Urdu class. Maulana Zafar Ali Khan released another magazine, "Punjab Review" which could not continue for long. Zafar Ali Khan released a scholarly and literary magazine when the English government of India banned the “Zameendar"
