An analysis of Sindhi religious poetry Molood

Abstract
The word or term “Molood” used instead of “Naat” in Sindhi religious poetry, “Molood” term used for the birth of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Salallah o alaih e wa salam). In Sindhi poetry this term was introduce and use for first time by Makhdoom Abdul Rauf Bhatti. More over the poets used Molood for Hamd, Naat, Madah, Manqabat, Manajaat and other related term used to express in poetry for Molood Sharif. The Prayer, Fasting, Hajj, Heaven (Manazir e Jannat), Azwaj e Muttaharat, Mairaj and other religious topics revealed in Sindhi poetry all over Sindh to express love, respect, honor, bravery and devotion commonly all over Sindh, in Mosques earlier to Juma Prayer, youngers and adults used to sing molood in rhythm. Some of the famous poets of Sindh in present era are Abdullah Abd Chandio, Syed Rafiq Ahmed Shah Amroti, Syed Gul Muhammad Shah Gul Bukhari, Ghulam Nabi Mahesar (Late), Ghulam Qadir Ulro, Abdul Hafeez Ulro, Shahzado Mirani, Mujahid Mahar, Muhammad Yaseen Kumbhar, Hakim Ali Bhurt and those who sing the Molood in the religious mahafils and also records their poetry moloods in cassettes, CDs, Radio and Television, some of the famous names are Ghulam Nabi Mahesar, Imdadullah Phulpoto, Naimatullah Solangi, Miskin Aiwaz, Haji Makhno Faqir Mahar, Muhammd Yahya Phulpoto and others. Religious poet Late Haji Ghulam Nabi Mahesar’s poetry, Molood Sharif is published in the series of many books and many more poets have published their poetry.
