Abstract
A multi-ethnic society is a society that has many different ethnic groups within their common social identity or "nation," including differences in race, history and culture. The majority of cities and towns in most countries are multi-ethnic societies. It is an important component of a successful multi-ethnic society is an understanding and tolerance towards all kinds of people. Without the acceptance of the differences between cultures and ethnic groups, a multi-ethnic society will be divided and prone to unrest. Islam is a fastest growing religion in West. In the next half century or so, Christianity’s long reign as the world’s largest religion may come to an end. Indeed, Muslims will grow more than twice as fast as the overall world population between 2015 and 2060 and, in the second half of this century, will likely surpass Christians as the world’s largest religious group. Muslims are facing many challenges in the West, especially in terms of islamophobia and hate. Nearly 75 percent of Muslim Americans either know someone who has or have themselves experienced an act of anti-Muslim discrimination, harassment, verbal abuse or physical attack since September 11. Almost half of Americans believe that Islam is more likely than other religions to promote violence. Muslim youth can contribute to Islam by giving time, talent and money. It is their duty and privilege to present the truth and proof about Islam and what it represents. They desire to clear up misconceptions and misunderstandings about Islam to help others see the true message that came with all of the prophets from Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them all. They should also play an important role to bring about positive change in society, and should work with an objective of making Islam prevalent over all the other ways of life.
