Abstract
The term “Progressive” acquired a totally new meaning
through out the world after the “Soviet revolution”.
This revolution changed the whole world in regard to the
arts, politics, and social issues/trends also it changed the attitudes
and tendencies of the people from different aspects.
The whole world was divided into two schools of thought.
Particularly in Sindh there was a new turn in Sindhi literature.
Due to this it became necessary for Sindhi writers to make the
people rise up against the class system in the world at that time.
Sindhi writers began to lead the common people. They made people conscious against the class system.
After the Second World War the young writers began to
preach progressivism with zeal and zest. In 1945 the progressive
writers laid the foundation of this organization. The first secretary
of the organization was Gobind Malhi. This organization used to
hold the meeting every weekend and in the background of this
thought the criticism was made by the members of the group.
