SOCIOLINGUISTIC STUDY OF ANIMAL NAMES IN SINDHI
Abstract
Animal names, animal sounds, sound words and symbols
related to animals are the main part of sociolinguistics study. Because the animals were present every where in the world, the people used them not only for traveling and transportation but they
were used as a part of food, they helped the man ploughing the
fields. There were many similarities among them like biological
similarities such as body structure and food chains. The relation
of man with animals was of the same kind every where. Therefore
animal sound, behavior, activities and animal names are important items of linguistic discussion
