Abstract
This article sheds light on the efforts of freedom fighters of the Punjab who resisted against the loot and plunder of the innadors. The Punjabi folk songs are replete with praises which portray them as National Heroes. The article focuses the issue of nativatity and natives in the occupied Punjab with special reference to the British Rule through oral history of the Punjab.
