Abstract
Qasas-e-Hind, written in Urdu prose during second half of 19th century, is such a popular serial which was arranged under the patronage of education department for educational purposes. Its several editions themselves are the clear proof of its popularity. It is for the first time that all the three parts; first, second and third in array of Qasas-e-Hind are discussed from critical point of view in this piece of writing. Topic and style has beautified the theme evolving Urdu prose in Lahore during colonial era with literary style on every level. From this stand point, the study of this popular serial is not only inevitable but also interesting.
