Abstract
. The over emphasis on the polemics among the sects weakened the tradition of theology in the Muslim world limiting. The act of imaginative speculations over the theological problems has decreased spectacularly, let alone the indifference towards the modern episteme, which has denied the contemporary theology a modern and understandable jargon. The grandeur that this tradition held was owed to the keen insight of its carriers into the contemporary knowledge forms. The growth in knowledge and the developments in consciousness were responded to form the perspective of religion and it was done with such depth and finesse that the denial of it would become the symbol of ignorance. Theologians would not only shape the brims of consciousness by responding to rationality but would enter into the center of it, rejuvenating, molding and shaping the basic questions with answers not rational to the mind only but satisfactory to the soul too, making it unnatural for the mind to deny the existence of transcendence (and by extension, God). Due to a plethora of reasons, this insightfulness, which was owed to the closeness of man with God, has almost ceased to exist and theology has become a set of arguments, plagiarized with a sheer lack of skill and knowledge. This is done with such unintelligence that the 1 arguments seem to force themselves on the others rather than to convince. Due to these apparent trifles, theology disconnected itself with the problems of its age and lost its traditional status. In this bleak picture, a man came who revived the traditional status of theology and made it efficiently effective on his age. He was Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Ayyub Dehalvi.
