Abstract
In Lahore, during colonial era Islamic and Christian religious activities were at their peak. The basic reason of which was that with the arrival of Britishers there started a tug of war between western and eastern cultural values, new and old education system and among different schools of thought along with Islam and Christianity. As a result, Urdu prose expanded in religious writings and its capability increased to meet the requirements to the best of its abilities and a worth mentioning storage of religious writings came into being. During colonial era, Lahore was the centre of attention in terms of religious activities. From religious point of view, an ambience of dialogue was prevalent at that time therefore most of the writings were based on discussions and dialogues. Such a religious literature is being highlighted at length in this essay with great curiosity and research.
