Abstract
A cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the role of motivation and work
environment in the turnover intentions of bank officers. It was hypothesized that
motivation and work environment would predict turnover intentions while the work
environment would moderate the relationship between motivation and turnover
intentions. The results revealed that extrinsic motivation negatively predicted
turnover intentions while work environment moderated the relationship of both
types of motivations with turnover intentions. This study is significant for the
policymakers to recognize the role of motivation in employees so that turnover
intentions can be reduced in a better way.
