Abstract
During the last two decades, environment and philosophy have occupied a great space in literary debate and have unearthed a tremendous amount of environmental concerns that the literature manifests in its prime forms. Gone are the days when ecocriticism was considered an undertheorized critical perspective now it is engaging with different fields of knowledge as the environment itself covers all shades of life on earth. Naat as one of the most sacred religious, sentimental, and emotional literary forms has been written for ages. Overtime the digitization of society, knowledge development, and human psychology have consumed a large part of natural resources in many ways, and intellectuals have discussed marginalized and complex issues of ecocritical crises through an ecocritical approach but my article is an attempt to foreground the eco-cultural negotiation between Naatia Text[s] of renowned Naatia Poet Sabeeh Rehmani, and the articulation of different environmental representations as a counter-canon and cultivation of contemporary ethos in his Naats. This article materializes his unique and untraditional but successful treatment of ecological diversity in sacred creative Texts.
