Abstract
Allama Iqbal as a philosopher and a guide to the Muslim nation thoroughly
examined the new scientific era of the world. He watched the development of
modern thought, and through his independent analytical approach he told
humanity at large that slavery is a curse and it is disgracing human beings all
over the word. He himself took guidance from the Holy Quran. In his book
"Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam" he clearly stated that the "Quran
is a book which emphasizes 'deed' rather than 'idea" Muslims of India. A good
poet always depicts life around him in his poetry. Allama Muhammad Iqbal as a
spokesman of his passions and social aims studied life in India under the British
rule. Firstly he worked for the unity of Indian people. But when he found that
divide and rule policy in India has created so many troubles for Muslims living
in India. He suggested them they should struggle for their freedom. His concept
of freedom was based on spirituality. In this article, the writer suggests that
following Iqbal's spiritual philosophy humanity can touch the path of its pride.
