Abstract
In any Literature it is necessary to draw real picture of society and the man of letter should be socially conscious. Nobel Laureates of Bangla Literature, famous poet and world renowned man of letter Rabindranath Tagore was a sensitive man of Letter. Although, he was not an announced socialist by virtue of political thoughts, but he had an eagle eye on socio-economic condition of Indian Labourers and he reflected them very well in his writing. He had also highlighted those in his poetry. There were different reasons of decline of Muslims and Hindus after war of Independence 1857. He tried to reform in traditional religious norms. He was in favour of women's liberty in India he played his role as a reformer by highlighting the exploitation of Indian women in his novels. In short he had keen eye on every thing as a poet of human life and he reflected every circumstance of the society as a writer in real sense through characters of his novels.
