Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of foreign language culture in
classrooms in Iranian context. The participants of this study were chosen among the English
language students of Dehdasht Payam-Noor University, Iran. The author wanted to know
about the insides and attitudes of the participants about the effects of culture as an essential
part of language learning. The obtained results showed that there is a significant similarity
between participants' attitudes and the cultural frameworks of language they were learning.
Considering the advantages of cultural issues, familiarizing the students with the culture of the
language, they are learning is very helpful if considered appropriately and without any bias.
This study confirmed the views of many experts who believe that culture teaching is an
integral part of any language teaching and learning. This study recommends that teachers and
language instructors to consider cultural aspects of any language they are teaching to increase
the learners' motivation and achievements in the course of language internalization processes.
