Abstract
In this study, we have evaluated the moderating impact of big five personality traits within the framework of Transactional Model of Stress and Coping (TMSC). This paper develops a model by integrating the moderating role of big five personality traits on the relationship of technostress and task performance of employees belonging to ICT intensive organizations and then tests this model in a developing country’s context. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey from employees operating in a variety of ITC intensive firms in Pakistan. The moderating effects of big five personality traits were checked with the help of PROCESS macro for SPSS developed by Hayes (2013). Results revealed that agreeableness, consciousness and neuroticism have moderating impact on the significant negative relationship between technostress and task performance. However, extroversion and openness to experience did not moderate the relationship between technostress and task performance.
